Who we are

We, Sarah (Stevens) and Sally (White) started SYLO over ten years ago, with the focussed aim to provide clear and trusted HR advice and support to businesses in the local area. Our proactive approach of working in partnership with our Clients has seen the business grow from just us, to over 20 Associates, working not just in SME and Not for Profit organisations, but also National and International businesses, across a multitude of sectors.

We believe passionately in providing an integrated working solution to any issue you may have, large or small. With feedback from our Clients, SYLO has increased its remit beyond HR to a full range of services including: People Support including Coaching, Business Strategy, Learning & Development, plus Health & Safety. We know your people are your most important asset so, our focus will always be on ensuring they are working, happily, to their maximum capacity, whilst delivering your Business aims and objectives.

 

What we focus on

We know the people in your organisation are critical to your current and future growth, but sometimes issues arise which can disrupt the smooth running of the business, or maybe you know you aren’t achieving your maximum potential but are unsure why. Our focus is on helping you, your people and your business work better together. We have a calm, clear, collaborative approach, which concentrates on really understanding all your issues before proposing a response that is tailored to your ways of working.

We also strongly believe in supporting the area where we work and live: supporting local schools on careers advice, charities with fundraising and free events and promoted the benefits of CSR with local businesses.

How we work

Whatever the size of your challenge, we can help. Whether it’s HR documentation and polices that need updating, a full HR Audit, a disciplinary or grievance issue, a complete people reorganisation, a review of your business plans, training, performance management problems, specific coaching, we will tailor our proposal to deliver your requirements.

All our Clients are assigned to one of our Account Directors, who will oversee all the work you place with us. Then, depending on your requirements, we will assign one, or more, of our specialist Teams, to be your day-to-day contacts.

You may require different members of our Team to focus on particular areas, such as People Support, Business Strategy, Learning and Development or Health & Safety, in addition to HR Essentials. Then through our bespoke Systems and Processes, we ensure all of the team are fully aware of all the work we are doing with you, so we can add real value to all aspects of your business through a fully integrated approach.

We operate in two ways, via a monthly retainer or pay-as-you-go. Our retainer option gives you the advantage of a guaranteed number of hours per month (you specify how many) with one of our experienced HR Consultants plus expert legal advice, and, password protected access to our Client Area with all the documentation and templates you may need.
