Business Hub hosts Paralympian Martin McElhatton
SYLO Associates and Machins Solicitors were delighted to host our quarterly Business Hub breakfast meeting at Hartwell House on Tuesday, with guest speaker Martin McElhatton, CEO of WheelPower & Paralympian.
It was a very special and inspiring morning listening to Martin share his experiences through his business and involvement in the Paralympics – “WheelPower – Transforming the lives of disabled people through sport”.
Martin is a Paralympian who competed in wheelchair basketball for Great Britain in the 1984 Paralympic Games at Stoke Mandeville.
Martin has been involved in wheelchair sport for over 30 years including voluntary roles within wheelchair tennis at national and international level, local sport within Buckinghamshire as well as his professional life as Chief Executive of WheelPower at Stoke Mandeville Stadium.
Martin was honoured to be a London 2012 Paralympic Torch Bearer and in 2013 received the prestigious Brad Parks Award for services to international wheelchair tennis.
Sarah, Director of SYLO Associates was honoured to hold the Olympic Flame from the 2018 Korea Winter Paralympics.
